Attorney Works directly for a Senior
Attorney, as a member of a Regional Attorney team. Prepares
casework and represents clients at Administrative Hearings
throughout the Nation. The position requires weekly travel and
a caseload of 7 to 8 clients a month. Reviews medical records
and any other evidence and writes briefs for
on-the-record-decisions at the hearing level. Researches
applicable case law, as required. Prepares the client for the
hearing and meets with client before hearing for final
preparation. Position requires flexibility, ability to work
independently, strong oral argument and organizational skills,
and a desire to travel.

Juris
Doctor Assists the Senior Attorney and other
attorneys on their Regional Team by performing legal research
and case preparation. Coordinates case preparation with Senior
Attorney and paralegal staff. Reviews and prepares incoming
medical evidence to be sent to the Office of Hearings and
Appeals (OHA). Prepares pre-hearing letters, memorandum, and
OTR briefs when necessary. Summarizes Exhibit files for the
Senior Attorney. Researches points of law necessary for briefs
at every level, and prepares the necessary documents for
review by Senior Attorney. Research Circuit Court opinions,
SSA rulings and Administrative Law rules. When licensed, may
travel to represent clients 3-4 times a month before the ALJ.
Position requires good research skills, flexibility, good oral
argument and organizational skills, ability to work
independently, and a willingness to travel.

Paralegal Guides and directs a
legal support staff and manages a caseload of approximately
400 clients. Monitors their regional staff in case development
of all client files in their region during the Initial,
Reconsideration, and Hearing levels. Ensures timely and
accurate updating of client information. Coordinates and
monitors all medical requests and ensuring timely appeals are
filed. Assigns legal support staff their workload and all
related tasks. Prepares and reviews all written correspondence
for their region. Provides technical, administrative support
to attorneys in their region in preparation for Hearings and
Appeals, as required. Trains, counsels, and evaluates support
staff. Position requires excellent communication and
organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and
multi-task.

Legal Assistant Maintains files for approximately 150
clients. Responsible for interviewing the client and assisting
the client throughout the Social Security Administrative
process, from filing their Initial Claim through the Hearing
and Appeals Council process, as required. Prepares all forms
and correspondence for the client. Requests, maintains, and
updates all client medical records. Interfaces with The Social
Security Administration, Insurance Companies, and the client
throughout the administrative process. Position requires
excellent administrative and customer services skills, the
ability to multi-task, and intermediate-level computer
skills.

Administrative Assistant, Legal Responsible for providing administrative
assistance to the Regional Paralegal and the Legal Assistants
in maintaining all client files, from the first contact
through the Appeals Council. Provides all administrative
support to the paralegal’s regional team, including making
phone calls, preparing and typing correspondence, updating
internal automated files, photocopying, faxing, and
maintaining and ordering supplies for the regional team.
Assists the paralegal in requesting medical documentation for
clients and other administrative assistance, as required.
Position requires solid organizational and administrative
skills, the ability to multi-task, basic computer knowledge,
and good verbal communication skills.
